International Museum Day 2022 – Banknote Museum, Corfu

The Banknote Museum of the Ionian Bank-Alpha Bank in Corfu participated in the International Museum Day celebrations with the educational event "Coin-o-rama. A digital coin experience".

126 students and 15 teachers from the schools of the island had the opportunity to get acquainted with the coins of the new Greek State, through the new digital application created by the Alpha Bank Numismatic Collection. Through a game of searching for selected iconic banknotes in the permanent exhibition on the 1st floor and then on the 2nd floor, where Coin-o-rama is installed, students discovered coins from different historical periods, compared iconography and inscriptions, and met historical figures. In the end, they completed an educational booklet.
