Meeting with teachers from schools on Rhodes

On Monday 7 May 2018 we met with teachers from schools on the island of Rhodes who ran the Numismatic Collection’s Nomos-Nomizo-Nomisma educational programme from November 2017 to April 2018. A total of 489 students from 11 schools on the island participated in the programme.

Following approval from the Primary and Secondary Education Directorate of the Dodecanese, 2 special education schools and 1 kindergarten also receive the specially designed museum kit. The teachers presented to us how they managed the programme material, as well as what adaptations they made and which activities they carried out, depending on the level of the students. They also showed us the handicrafts of the children. The interjection of Ms Anastasia Zezou from the 2nd Kindergarten of Kremasti was quite interesting, as she presented all the kindergarten children’s activities digitally, offering ample material for discussion and exchange of opinions to further improve the programme.
