“The Industrial Heritage of Corfu, 19th – 20th century”

The Alpha Bank Numismatic Collection participated in the exhibition “The Industrial Heritage of Corfu, 19th – 20th century”, organised by the Albert Cohen-Corfu Association, in collaboration with the Art Gallery of the Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands and the Ionian University Museum Collections. The exhibition was hosted at the Art Gallery of the Municipality of Central Corfu at the Palace of St. Michael and George (Palea Anaktora) from 26.10.2022 to 05.01.2023. It attracted 1,600 visitors.

The Alpha Bank Numismatic Collection participated in the exhibition with 6 coin-notes (paper money of small value) issued by the “G. Aspiotis Brothers” printing company of Corfu between 1918-1925.

Other participants included the General Archives of the State – Archives of the Prefecture of Corfu, the Theotokis Estate, the Patounis Soap Factory and several private collectors who provided relevant material from their collections.
