Educational publication for children
The publication Paper Money – The Greek Banknote is support material for the same-titled educational programme. The programme “Paper Money – The Greek Banknote” is carried out at the Banknote Museum of Ionian Bank on the island of Corfu.
The aim of the booklet and the educational programme is for children to learn the history of modern Greek banknotes, from the founding of the Greek State (1830) to the introduction of the euro (2002).
Playing and learning
The booklet presents the history of banknotes in a playful manner. Through various educational activities carried out at the exhibition area of the museum, children answer the questions found in the booklet, solve the crosswords and match the pairs.
Free of charge
The booklet is offered free of charge to all the students attending the permanent educational programme at the Banknote Museum. It has been approved by the Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs.
